Vaishali Mehra Tewari is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the FTCA Department at Amrapali University, Haldwani. She holds a postgraduate degree in English Literature from Indira Priyadarshini Govt. Girls Commerce PG College, Haldwani, where she secured the first position in her college and earned a place on the university’s annual meritorious list. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. in English Literature at Kumaon University, Nainital, and has qualified the UGC NET, reflecting her strong academic foundation and commitment to higher education.

Her research interests focus on contemporary Indian English literature, particularly chick literature and the portrayal of independent urban women. She has published four research papers in this area, with several more in progress. Actively engaged in academic and creative pursuits, she has participated in national and international seminars, attended conferences, and taken part in poetry writing competitions. She is dedicated to fostering effective communication, critical thinking, and personality development among her students.
