At AU we believe in producing professional engineers, commerce & management professionals, computer application professionals, hotel management professional, pharmacy professionals and educationist, who are enriched with globally accepted professional standards and have the fundamentals that will make them a professional for life and not just prepare our students for one industry or one organization or for only the first job.
The University have a full fledged Central Training and Placement Department (CTPD). The PIIC at present as two sections, one looking at training and Placement of Engineering &Technology, Computer Applications, Commerce and Business Management and Pharmacy programmes and the other is looking after the Hospitality and Catering programmes.
The objective of the Centralised Training & Placement Department (CTPD) is to work with coordination of respective faculty of group to help students in clarifying their career goals as well as acquire technical and generic skills and ultimately to make them job fit and convert desired employment opportunity into placement offer.
To create a niche environment for excellence in Training, Placement and Career Orientation and assist students in identifying, developing, evaluating and achieving their career goals.
The training and development is an important process in life span of a student undergoing Higher Education and at AU this process had been developed in such a manner that it not only balances theoretical and practical skills but also focuses on developing the core technical and soft skills essential for today's professional world. The various PIIC activities were displayed on Notice Boards/ e-Notice Boards and also be forwarded to the students via their ERP login, SMS and emails.
The students who have minimum attendance of 75% in both theory and practical in every semester are eligible to sit in the campus interviews. Students below the 75% attendance need to take necessary approvals from Dean of the Institute but any student below 75% attendance will not be eligible for registration with PIIC in any case. Similarly, attendance in PDP & Employability Training programmes organized by Training & Placement Department should also be 75%. Any failure towards the same will require approval from AU Management Board to be able to participate in PIIC activities.
All Deans and Principals are required to provide the semester wise attendance to the PIIC after every semester.
